SalaryPKR 30,000–150,000a month

Good food at home changes a family’s whole week. The Cook Driver Welfare Association places cooks and chefs with homes in Lahore on a monthly basis. You choose the role, answer a few quick questions and send the request on WhatsApp. The association then shares suitable candidates and agrees everything with you before anyone starts.

Which role do you need?

Cook for home — fresh, home-style meals every day. Choose a cook if you want breakfast, lunch and dinner taken care of for your family. There are two kinds: a cook for Pakistani food, and a cook who also prepares Chinese dishes. The salary differs, as shown on the page.

Personal chef — a wider menu and a higher standard. Choose a chef if you entertain often, want restaurant-style food and presentation, or need careful menu planning for particular diets. There are two levels: a home chef and a hotel-trained chef.

If you are not sure which you need, start with the cook page and describe your household in the notes. The team will suggest the right role.

How salaries work

Each role page shows the monthly salary range paid by the household to the worker. Where a salary falls in its range depends on experience, and the exact figure is agreed before the start. The salary is not the association’s price: the association explains its own placement fee on WhatsApp before anything is agreed. All salaries are listed together on the salaries and prices page with the date they were last updated.

What the household provides

Cooks and chefs work in your kitchen with your groceries. The household provides the groceries, gas, a working stove and basic kitchen equipment, and tells the team about any allergies or dietary needs. Working hours, meals and any live-in arrangement are agreed with the association before the start.

How a placement works

  1. Send a request. Choose the role, answer a few questions and send it on WhatsApp. It takes about a minute.
  2. The team replies. The association asks anything it needs to know and explains its fee.
  3. Meet the candidates. The team shares suitable candidates and arranges how you meet them.
  4. Agree and start. The salary, hours and start date are agreed before anyone starts.

There is no sign-up and no payment on the website. See how it works for more detail.
